Accounting / Finance Recruiter

Note, this position is with our sister company, Murray Resources, located in Houston’s Memorial City area: www.murrayresources.com. However, interested candidates, may also work out of our Kingwood Personnel location, if more convenient.

Murray Resources, an award-winning Houston recruiting and staffing firm, is growing and looking to add an exceptional Accounting / Finance Recruiter to our team. The successful candidate will be a highly driven, experienced accounting / finance recruiter, with a strong track record of success working in a fast-paced environment. This person will embrace Murray Resources’ commitment to excellence and best practices derived from our decades of experience in the recruiting and staffing industry. This position will be located in our West Houston office (Memorial City area).

This position requires at least 2 years of experience as an agency accounting / finance recruiter.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit qualified accounting / finance professionals for both direct hire and contract positions through the use of direct recruiting, job boards, social media/web research, referrals, and networking in the business community.
  • Conduct interviews and skill assessments on recruited candidates, including behavioral interviews, technical skill testing, and reference checking.
  • Place appropriately skilled candidates on assignments and conduct quality control calls on all orders.
  • Negotiate appropriate pay rates for candidates and bill rates for clients.
  • Actively prospect for new employer clients via web research, social networks, cold-calling, and networking.
  • Conduct proactive business development efforts including in-person client meetings, client lunches, and other lead generation activities.
  • Make sales presentations to qualified new business prospects.
  • Achieve production targets / quotas.
  • Meet with current clients to further penetrate existing client accounts.
  • Maintain client satisfaction through follow up and quality control activities.
  • Track, manage, and report on prospecting and recruiting activities; maintain and update CRM.
  • Provide customers with appropriate information on trends relating to the accounting / finance profession and staffing related issues (salary surveys, etc.).
  • Participate in local professional, business and civic organizations to enhance personal development and to promote company recognition.
  • Network actively in target business and industry organizations.
  • Promote and drive attendance to Murray Resources events.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of successful experience as an accounting /finance agency recruiter – no exceptions.
  • Enjoy building new business and prospecting.
  • Track record of building business through sales and networking efforts.
  • Resourceful and able to generate qualified leads.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and interface with professionals face-to-face.
  • Strong work ethic motivated by compensation and results.
  • Experience and comfortable working with a CRM. Proficiency with Bullhorn is a big plus.
  • Team-focused attitude.

  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Eagerness to grow and learn through training.

Business Development Manager (Engineering)

Murray Resources, an award-winning Houston recruiting and staffing firm, is growing and looking to add an exceptional Business Development Manager with experience selling Engineering recruiting services to join our award-winning team. The Business Development Manager will be primarily responsible for prospecting, developing, and closing qualified new business accounts for our technical division. This position will be located in our West Houston office.
