What happens to my resume once I submit it to Kingwood Personnel?
Once we receive your resume, one of our consultants will review it and determine whether there may be a match for one of our open Houston jobs. If there is a fit, we will give you a call to schedule a meeting to review your background, skills, and career interests. If there is not a fit for one of our open jobs, we will keep your resume on file for when a future job opens up that better fits your background and skills. Will my resume be sent out to potential companies without my knowledge?
No. Your resume will never be submitted anywhere without your prior consent.

If I register or meet with Kingwood Personnel, but I don’t hear back, should I call?
We understand how stressful the job search process can be – as a result, we always do our best to get back to candidates as quickly as possible. However, due to the large volume of employers and candidates with whom we work, we are not always able to respond as quickly as we would like. If you are looking for a temporary position, calling in once per week is a good rule of thumb. For permanent or direct hire positions, we recommend calling to check in every few weeks.

Does Kingwood Personnel offer job skills training?
For our registered candidates, Kingwood Personnel offers skill building tutorials in various Microsoft Office and accounting software programs. Registered candidates can access these tools by making an appointment through our office.

If I accept a contract assignment through Kingwood Personnel, is there a possibility that I will be hired on full time by the employer?
For some contract positions there is a possibility that candidates who perform well will be considered by the hiring company for either a longer term assignment or a full time position. However, this depends on the needs of the hiring company at the time and there is no guarantee that a full time opportunity will arise.

What kind of testing / skills assessments does Kingwood Personnel conduct?
The type of testing / skills assessments we conduct is determined by the specific skill-set needed to excel in the position. Every job is different and, therefore, requires different skills. Contact us for a full list of assessments Kingwood Personnel conducts.

Can I keep my job search confidential?
Yes, Kingwood Personnel takes our candidates’ privacy very seriously and keeps all job searches strictly confidential.

Does Kingwood Personnel offer resume writing services?
Kingwood Personnel does not offer separate resume writing services at this time; however, we may offer resume suggestions to registered candidates who we recommend for specific positions.

For temporary employees working through Kingwood Personnel, when are paychecks due and how often are paychecks issued?
Payroll is run weekly. Kingwood Personnel’s pay period is Sunday through Saturday, with payroll being processed the following week.
» We use an online time tracking system; you will receive your secure login and password by email once you have been
placed on an assignment with our clients.
» Kingwood Personnel provides two payroll processing options; mail or direct deposit. If interested in enrolling in Direct
Deposit, you may access the appropriate authorization form online. You can also contact the Kingwood Personnel payroll
department for the necessary form by calling 281.358.2018.

» Paychecks are:
› Mailed on Wednesday
› Direct Deposited on Thursday or the next business day in case of bank closures

Does Kingwood Personnel screen candidates and conduct background / reference checks?
Yes. Kingwood Personnel interviews, screens, and conducts background / reference checks on every candidate before submitting them to our clients. Background testing includes criminal, social security tracking, education verification, and employment verification. We have also partnered with one of the top drug testing vendors in the country to offer drug testing for our temporary placements.
